 Absolute Deadline for Submission of Requests is extended to the next 31st March 2006

 The 18th EMI workshop El Vendrell – Spain 2006 offers a limited number of grants of financial assistance for participation in the workshop.

 The Financial Support Committee will determine the distribution of funding. The specific criteria used will depend on the available funding and the total number of applications. The criteria used at previous EMI workshops included the following items:

•   Priority has been given to those presenting papers/posters at the workshop.

•  Participation of research students and postdoctoral level scientists in the workshop has been encouraged.

•  Equitable participation from all countries has been encouraged.

•  Preference has been given to new participants, and to those who have not received funding in past workshops.

•  In order to ensure the broadest geographical representation of participants, the total amount of support for applicants from a single institution has been limited.

•  No consideration of late applications
