Admission requirements and applicant background
The basic admission requirements are identical for all official Masters
of the European Higher Education Area, and can be read on the websites of the
University of Barcelona and
of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The specific
admission requirement for the Master in Biophysics is the possession of
an academic degree in the sciences or engineering.
Due to the multidisciplinarity of the Master, students
with diverse background can be admitted.
The Master is addressed primarily to students with prior
training in Physics, Biological Sciences and Chemistry.
Students with training on other scientific
disciplines or engineering will also be considered.
Starting date
The Master is organized in two semesters: Fall semester (September through
January) and Spring Semester (February through July).
Students can start the program in either semester: February or September.
Admission to the Master
Admission to the Master program is in two steps: Pre-enrollment
and Enrollment.
Pre-enrollement
You must pre-enroll on-line

here. Pre-enrollment
is possible at any time during the academic year. Admissions for 2008/09
will be decided and published in four different periods:

before July 15th will be considered. Admissions will be posted on this website
in the subsequent two weeks.

this website within a few days.
During the first admission period not all places will be assigned. A
number of places will be reserved for the other three admission periods.
